Watermelon Blueberry and Mint Salad

Description

A sweet Watermelon, Blueberry, and Mint Salad served with a sweet and tart dressing made with a Berliner Weisse from Tequesta Brewing Co. Plus a cooking video.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 cups Watermelon- Cubed
  • 1 cup Blueberries
  • 2-3 Tablespoons Mint- Chopped {Measure chopped mint}
  • 1-2 Tablespoons Powdered Sugar- Depending on desired sweetness*
  • 1/4 cup Beer

Instructions

  1. Combined the watermelon, blueberries and mint in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate small bowl, stir together the powdered sugar and beer. Allow the mixture to sit a moment to allow the sugar to fully dissolve.
  3. Pour the sugar mixture over the fruit and stir. Allow to sit for 30 minutes in the refrigerator to chili and serve.

Notes

  • Whole30 - Omit sugar and beer and serve as a fresh fruit salad
  • Paleo - Substitute sugar for honey
  • Gluten-Free - Substitute beer for a gluten-free beer or seltzer
