A quick 10-minute side dish, air fryer asparagus with lemon is crispy and tender. Serve with your favorite protein for a complete meal.
We use our air fryer daily and I'm pretty sure you can cook anything you want in it! This recipe is simple and makes a great side dish with roasted, grilled, or air-fried meats.
How to Make Air Fryer Asparagus
This recipe is seasoned simply with garlic and lemon - it adds a nice bright flavor to the earthy asparagus.
Ingredients Needed:
- Asparagus
- Oil
- Salt and Pepper
- Lemon
To start, trim the tough ends of the asparagus. The easiest way to do this is to hold the middle and end of the asparagus stem. Bend the stock until the end snaps off. Repeat with the rest of the asparagus. {See the video below for a demo}
Next, add the veggies to the air fryer basket and season with oil, salt, pepper, and lemon zest.
Cook at 350 degrees for 5-10 minutes or until crispy. Once cooked, remove from the air fryer and squeeze lemon juice over the warm asparagus.
Ways to Use Asparagus Stems
Don't throw away those stems! They're great for vegetable stock. Store in the freezer until ready to use, add them to your stock.
Make-Ahead and Storage
It's best to make this right before eating, but leftover asparagus is good for lunch or dinner another night. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or air fryer.

I love seasoning asparagus this way for when I roast the spears or cook them on the grill. If we ever get an air fryer (maybe for Mother's Day??), then I'll have to try this method out. Sounds so simple and delicious!
I've been making these every night this week and it's been a game changer. So incredibly easy when I'm too lazy to roast in the oven.
That's why I love the air fryer. No preheating. Just throw it all together.
So simple, but so tasty. I love making this.
